What a good looking family!

If I do say so myself. When we took Ellie for her 3-year portraits we also did some family photos. They turned out really really well. See for yourself...

 And Ellie's portrait session was a lot of fun and lots of smiles!

Ice Skating!

Today we took Ellie ice skating at our local neighborhood Charlestown ice rink (where some famous names have learned to skate such as Jack O'Callahan who was on the Miracle on Ice team).

We started off with the basics, walking on the ice in your shoes...

Then we stepped up to putting on skates (we rented these size 7 skates for her at the rink) and had her put on her helmet. Then we practiced just standing in our skates on the ice.

Then we added using some milk crates to practice actually skating (or moving your feet on the ice). I did a lot of the pushing of the crates and she was along for the ride.

At the end, she got a ride on top of the crates...while I did all the hard work!

We had a blast! Ellie looking forward to skating again next weekend!
