Número Due :: 35 weeks, Happy Valentines Day!

Happy Valentine's Day!

We all had a great day, but Ellie had an especially awesome one. Remember the days of trading Valentines with all the kids in class AND having a fun afternoon party with sweets and you didn't have to do work? To be in preschool again.

Ellie and I opted to be a bit crafty for her Valentines. She made some heart pockets by cutting out hearts, decorating them (signing her name on one side), stapling them together, filling them with stickers, and tying them up with a now. She only needed a little bit of adult help.

This evening we had our family traditional Valentines dinner of cheese fondue. However, this year Elle cut up all the apples herself. She actually does "apple work" at school so she has lots of practice. We all enjoyed our dinner, which is my favorite and quickly becoming one of Ellies top 5 meals.

Then, as the only male in the family currently and therefore required by society to provide gifts to his female family members, Nick handed out some presents and set out a special dessert. Nick had about 2 lbs of Ellies favorite gummy candy for Ellie. For me, a new book by one of my favorite authors and a new version of my like the only video game I like (which I kinda got addicted to during maternity leave after Ellie was born). Obviously Nick is helping me get ready for maternity leave.

Our dessert...lots of chocolate and fun stuff to dip in it like marshmallows, churros, and of course strawberries!

Great Valentines Day for all.

And we are now in our 35th week of pregnancy. We still have a lot to do (but for now we are focusing on Ellie and her birthday and birthday party) but we have accomplished quite a bit. Including washing mountains of baby laundry, both hand me downs and new items. We also have painted and are very close to finishing set up of Número Due/Chaos' bedroom. The big exciting part is we installed some fun Pac Man decals above the changing table.

The rest of the walls are a light blue and we installed grey curtains. We still need to do some furniture placement but most the baby stuff that had been in storage is now in his room (tested to make sure it still works and clean).

I'm feeling great. Rocking the large pregnant belly but feeling well. I'm definitely in the phase where everyone and strangers (everywhere I go!) comment and ask one of the two questions: "How are you feeling?" or "when are you due?" And they are really really nice to me.

I feel like Chaos has dropped already, but he has always been lower than Barca was. I have some of the same symptoms, but some things are different. Like I don't have the sciatica pain with Chaos that I had with Barca, but I have had some bad back pain. Heartburn has been the same...I can't wait for that to be over!

As with Barca, I intend to work up until I go into labor. This past week has been especially busy at work as I try to finish up a couple construction projects. So I've been spending quality time on construction sites.

Just as I did with Barca...at least a big belly makes the hard hat not look so awkward. The lower picture is me at approximately 35 weeks working on a construction site while pregnant with Barca.

We are starting to close in on full development of Chaos and starting the big wait...
