Happy 2015!

Happy New Year!

What an end to 2014 we had (trip to Chicago, flu, awesome Christmas, lots of stories...I'll make it a resolution to share them all) and what a terrific first day of 2015 we had today.

We all slept in a little bit (Cal slept till just before 7) but we were all up in time to see the start of the Rose Parade on TV at 8. During the parade we had a nice breakfast of French toast. Then at about 10, we all got bundled up and headed out to the end of the parade route to see the parade in person. It was chilly today and we had to break out our winter gear for the kiddos. Then we headed out to visit with good friends and had some awesome family time in the evening. Yes, we are red grapes and took a stick when we visited with friends (traditions from my grandma).

You can kinda see the floats in the photos below. We found a nice spot where it wasn't too crowded and we could see the parade. As the end of the parade is only a couple blocks away, heading down to see it has become an annual tradition.

Happy New Year! Wishing you the best in 2015!
