May = Birthday Month

In our family, May I'd a big birthday month. We start off with Nick and then we have my uncle and Great-Grandpa Van and then we finish the month with Aunt Susie. Well, last weekend we headed up to Santa Barbara to celebrate Uncle Buddy's and great- grandpa Van's birthdays (they share the same birthday).

It was extra special as both Cousin Jim and Aunt Susie had flown in from the east coast to help celebrate. There was lots of fun meals together as a family, even a crab leg feast!

On Saturday we had a party with the family and two (!) cakes. Ellie helped decorate them prior to the party.








Sunday we had brunch with the family again at a restaurant and took time to take some family photos.



And we all stopped by to say goodbyes and some more happy birthdays to great grandpa van.



Ellie was so excited from all the party fun and seeing both Aunt Susu and Really Big Cousin Jimmy. She even drew a picture of her with cousin Jim (Ellie now draws herself with a crown because she's a princess.



Well, one more birthday to celebrate this month...
